1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using iloveeffects.com ("the Service", "the site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.

2. What the service does

iLoveEffects is a free browser-based utility. When you paste a publicly accessible Streamable video link, the Service helps your browser locate the MP4 file that Streamable already serves for that video, so your browser can save it to your device.

To be precise about what this means:

• We do not host, store, cache, copy or upload any video files.
• We do not circumvent access controls, passwords, encryption or digital rights management.
• We only access information that Streamable makes publicly available.
• The file transfer happens between your browser and Streamable's servers, not through ours.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Download, copy or distribute any video you do not own and do not have permission or a legal right to save.
• Use the Service to infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or any other right of any person or organisation.
• Redistribute, resell, re-upload or publicly perform downloaded content without authorisation from the rights holder.
• Attempt to circumvent privacy settings, access restrictions or protection measures on any platform.
• Use automated scripts, scrapers or bots to interact with the Service, or place unreasonable load on it.
• Attempt to interfere with, probe, reverse engineer or compromise the security of the site.
• Reproduce, frame, mirror or resell the Service or present it as your own.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, or in connection with any unlawful, deceptive or harmful activity.

5. Your responsibility for content

Fair use, fair dealing and private-copying rules vary significantly between countries and are fact-specific. If you are unsure whether a download is permitted where you live, seek qualified legal advice before proceeding.

6. Copyright and DMCA policy

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users of the Service to do the same.

Important context

iLoveEffects hosts no video content whatsoever. There are no files on our servers to remove. If a video is being shared without your permission, the effective remedy is a notice to the platform actually hosting it, which in this case is Streamable.

Reporting misuse of the Service

If you believe the Service is being used to infringe your rights, send a notice to support@iloveeffects.com including:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The specific URL or material at issue and enough detail for us to locate it.
• Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We review every properly submitted notice and will take whatever action is appropriate and within our control, which may include blocking specific links from being processed by the Service.

7. Intellectual property

The iLoveEffects name, logo, site design, text, layout and code are our property or used under licence, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce or create derivative works from them without our written permission.

Any video content you download remains the property of its respective rights holder. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of that content to you or to us.

8. No affiliation with Streamable

iLoveEffects is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Streamable or its parent company in any way. "Streamable" is used on this site descriptively, to identify the platform the tool works with, and remains the trademark of its owner.

9. Advertising

The Service is free to use and may be supported by advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third-party networks, and their presence does not constitute an endorsement by us of any advertised product or service. Your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising partners handle data.

10. Availability and changes

We provide the Service on a best-effort basis and free of charge. We may modify, suspend, limit or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice or liability. The Service depends on Streamable's public infrastructure, which is outside our control, so features may stop working if that infrastructure changes.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, iLoveEffects and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

This includes, without limitation, any claim arising from content you download, any legal consequence of a download you chose to make, any data loss, or any device issue. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed ten United States dollars (USD 10).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless iLoveEffects and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.

14. Termination

We may restrict or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we believe you have breached these terms or are using the Service unlawfully. You may stop using the Service at any time simply by closing the page.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us first. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to proceed locally.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

16. Updates to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms. If you disagree with a revision, stop using the Service.
